The journey of Dr. Olena Klipitch and her husband, Dr. Oleg Klipitch (a physician), is one such story that highlights an unrelenting desire to surpass the odds to achieve ones goals. Upon arriving to Canada from her native Ukraine, Dr. Klipitch's dream was to one day own her own dental practice. She and her husband both worked a number of different jobs until they could return to school in their fields of study to become certified Canadian practitioners. In 2004, Dr. Klipitch earned her degree in dentistry while Oleg earned his medical degree in 2007. Nearly 15 years after their arrival in Canada, the Klipitchs' officially opened their dream clinic to the public in August of 2010.

"Anything is possible in Canada if you work hard, believe in yourself, and concentrate on achieving your goals," says Oleg. In the beginning, the thought of opening a dental clinic was somewhat daunting for Dr. Klipitch. Not only did she need to find a suitable location with plenty of space, free parking, easy access and visibility to the public, but also she needed to develop an ergonomic design to maximize productivity. She and her husband planned to combine her dental practice with his medical practice. Fortunately, Henry Schein Canada made that part easy.

"From the beginning, the Henry Schein Design Team, our sales consultant, Graham Caise and equipment specialist, Richard Wong worked directly with us to help manage the project and ensure everything went according to plan," says Dr. Klipitch. "Graham and Richard helped greatly reduce my stress and were very useful with suggestions for design and the choices of equipment."

Upon entering the Dr. O.K. Dental Center, patients are treated to a warm, inviting atmosphere where they can be relaxed and worry-free. A number of large-screen monitors are placed throughout for entertainment and further contribute to keeping patients calm. The open-concept design and high ceilings help to create a bright, spacious, and airy feel throughout the clinic. Italian ceramic floors were selected to mimic a natural hardwood floor, creating a sense of warmth and comfort with the benefits of being easy to clean. A series of beautiful paintings adorn the walls and add an interesting dimension to the overall flow throughout the clinic.

"A lot of initial research went into the location," recalls Graham Caise. "This allowed construction to run very smoothly and place her equipment in the most efficient locations."
